Trbet in County Cromarty, Scotland, baronet, 1628; Earl of Cromartie. Grand-daughter and heiress married the Duke of Sutherland, and was made Countess of Cromartie.

Arms: Quarterly, 1st, or a rock in flames proper, for MacLeod, of Lewis; 2nd, azure a stag's head carbosse or, for MacKenzie' 3rd, gu. three human legs armed ppr. conjoined in the centre at the upper part of the thigh, flexed in triangle, garnished and supurred or, for the Isle of Man; 4th, argent, on a pale sable an imperial crown within a double tressure flory and counterflory with fleurs-de-lis gules, for Eskine of Innertell.

Crest: The sun in his splendour proper.
