Clan Kinniard of that Ilk, in Perthshire, Scotland. The lands of Kinniard were granted to Rufus by William the Lion in 1170.
Arms: Quarterly, 1st and 4th, or, a fess wavy between three mullets gules (Kirkcaldy); 2nd and 3rd, Gules a saltire between four crescents or (Kinniard).
Crest: A cresscent arising from a cloud having a star issuing from between its horns, all within two branches of palm disposed in orle proper.
Motto: Errantia lumina fallunt (Wandering lights deceive).
On Compartment: Certa cruce salus (Sure salvation by the cross).
